At the very core of the Longmire Foundation is a dedication to community support. Our local community, and the larger idea of what a community is at its heart. Our annual goal is always to support community. To that end, the Foundation is proud to announce the charitable beneficiaries of Longmire Days 2022. These are all worthy organizations that do solid work on behalf of the communities they serve. We are excited to be of service to their missions. Puppies Behind Bars will benefit from a $30,000 donation to help further their work. Their program provides opportunities for incarcerated individuals by training them to train puppies for service programs. Each puppy is trained by their individual for 12 to 24 months. Among the programs the puppies are trained for are service dogs for veterans and first responders, comfort dogs for police departments, and explosive detection canines. In the words of this wonderful organization, “it’s all about the dogs and a network of incredible people.” This group is all about dogs and people… and opportunities. Check them out to see how you can help.Friends Feeding Friends of Johnson County has received a $10,000 donation from Longmire Days 2022.
